Blue Ribbon Bacon Tour – June 27 & 28, 2015

Keystone’s Blue Ribbon Bacon Tour is pretty excited about turning 5 years old in 2015! The festival returns June 27-28 with bacon s’mores, bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers, bacon inspired ice cream and just plain bacon, pounds and pounds of it.

If you believe the saying that “everything tastes better with bacon,” then we’ve found the perfect, mouth-watering event for you. The Blue Ribbon Bacon Tour happening at Keystone’s River Run Village will serve up 3,000 lbs. of bacon June 27-28 in just about every shape, size and variety from bacon ice cream to bacon s’mores to bacon drinks along with samples of bacon strips. Are you hungry yet? We are.

In its 5th year, the Blue Ribbon Bacon Tour has become a “must-do” event on Colorado’s very popular summer festival schedule. According to long-time bacon lover and event organizer Maja Russer, the event has tripled in growth in its 5 years.

 Keystone Wine & Jazz Festival – July 18 & 19, 2015

Wine and Jazz
Sample more than 300 different wines from red to pink and white to sparkling wines and champagnes at Keystone’s River Run Village.  While sipping your wine and champagne, enjoy the perfect pairing with eight different jazz bands on stage throughout the festival.  Learn about different regions and the delicate nuance of flavors that evolve the finest vineyard blends.  Enrich your knowledge by attending the professional wine seminars and discover which wines and foods harmonize with your favorite selections.

Beer & Bluegrass Festival – August 1 & 2, 2015
Bluegrass and Beer

What’s on tap in August? Beer, beer and more Colorado beer. The Keystone Bluegrass and Beer Festival will serve up more than 100 brews from 30-plus Colorado breweries Aug. 1-2.

Raise a pint or two for a toast to the lineup of bluegrass bands from the likes of Steep Canyon Rangers,Cornmeal, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades, SHEL, the Monocle Band, Groundscore, Claire Lynch Band, Ragged Union, the Barefoot Movement, Blue Highway and many more.

Plus, all that beer drinking is for a good cause. Like all of the Keystone Neighbourhood Company events, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to a local nonprofit. For the Bluegrass and Beer Festival, the donations benefit The High County Conservation Center.

Mountain Town Music Fest – August 21 & 22, 2015
Mountain Town Music Festival

A celebration of all things Colorado.  Warm summer days, free live music from national acts and the harvest season for our colorful state. Come spend the weekend in Colorado’s high country and celebrate the waning of summer and squeeze in that one last mountain adventure before the aspens start to turn their golden hues.  Free live music from Mosey West, Miner, David Wax Museum, Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers and more.  The festival will also feature vendors from across Colorado highlighting hammocks, original art, pet goodies, jewelry, clothing and more!  As always there will be activities for the kiddos with face painters and plant your own flowerpot.  A signature fireworks show on Friday night will light up the skies over River Run Village and with Dercum Mountain in the background there’s not a prettier place to take in the evening’s spectacle.

Oktoberfest  – September 5, 2015 
Oktoberfest

Dig out the lederhosen and bring out the family for Keystone’s 3rd Oktoberfest taking place in the River Run Village on Saturday, September 5th. Start the day with the Das Bier Burner 5K Run and get primed for the festivities later in the day.  Run benefits SOS Outreach and starts at noon. There will be plenty of kid’s activities including free face painters, a bounce house and the Edelweiss Polka Dancers along with a River Run Merchant tent sale to clear out the summer inventory.  Come sample beers from different Colorado Breweries. Buy a commemorative Keystone stein $35 and get 3 beers with the stein purchase and $5 refills. Free concerts, food booths, kids’ activities and beer flowing from 1pm – 6pm.
