Kick off the weekend right at Friday Afternoon Club. The Summit House celebrates every Friday with live music, food and drink specials, and a variety of outdoor family games like horseshoes, corn hole, ladder ball, bocce ball and more! Lift tickets are free from 1pm-7pm every Friday to provide you access to the free event, and be sure to catch every breathtaking view along the way!
Saturday September 3rd is Keystone’s favorite end of summer jubilee, Oktoberfest. The festivities begin at noon for the Das Bier Burner 5K in River Run Village, where the trophy for crossing the finish line is a pint of Oktoberfest bier. Shortly after the race, River Run transforms into a German-themed hub for Colorado-brewed Oktoberfest beers, oompah bands, and Deutschland-inspired cuisine that will make your mouth water. Bring the kids! They’ll love the chicken dancing as well as free face painting, a bounce house, and dance performances from the Edelweiss Schuhplattlers. As an added bonus, the River Run Village stores are getting in the spirit and having an Oktoberfest Tent Sale that day so treat yourself to an end of summer goodie from one of the many unique shops. We’ll prost to that!
Save some room for Sunday’s Taste of Keystone event on September 4th. Meet at Keystone’s scenic Lakeside Village for the finest cuisine at the best culinary event of the summer! Food samples can be purchased using Taste Tickets, which will be sold at the event for only a dollar each.
