Travel Tips: Planning Your Ski Trip With Friends

So you’ve been tasked with planning your ski trip with a big group of friends. We know that isn’t always the easiest task because some members of the group prefer skiing and riding first chair to last, while others are more concerned with where the nearest hot tub and bars are located. We’re here to help you navigate how to save some cash and plan your Keystone getaway; on a non-Holiday weekend! Choose East, West, or North Keystone for a quieter setting, or be close to the lifts, restaurants, nightlife, and shops at River Run.

Enjoy something special when you’re at Keystone with your buddies. Check out the Keystone Adventure Tours and go Cat Skiing! These tours will take you to our newest expert only terrain for an epic day making laps in powder that you will never forget.

It can definitely be fun during the crazy busy weekends when there are tons of people around, but sometimes you just want to chill with your buddies. Visiting during a non-Holiday weekend means you and your friends will have the mountain to yourselves (or close to it!) Keystone also has one of Colorado’s longest ski days for your group to take advantage of. Ski or ride long after nearly all the other mountains close. Watch the sunset over the Rocky Mountains and get a few more runs in at night!

There are so many events at Keystone to take advantage of. Coming up is Savor the Slopes, a rotating showcase of Keystone’s Signature Restaurants with food, wine, beer and spirit samplings. January 23 – 25 is the 9280 Pond Hockey Tournament, our outdoor, all-ages winter hockey event.

Bring your friends to the Mountain Experience Series… two great events providing clinics and deals to get you out on the hill learning, exploring, experiencing and connecting with the mountain culture! Introduce your buddies to the sport you love at Get to Know Keystone Days on December 13th and 14th. There will be discounted lift tickets, free clinics, discounted rentals through Keystone Sports and lodging discounts! The Burton Experience Snowboard Tour is on January 31st – February 1st. This event is for those who want to start, improve, or perfect their skills in the sport of snowboarding. There will be plenty of discounts that weekend as well!
