Welcome to Keystone

Introducing Your 2015/2016 Snow Reporter!

Hi I’m Kait!FullSizeRender

I moved to Stowe, Vermont when I was ten years old. Although I had been introduced to skiing in my early childhood, I was still a Long Islander at heart. I learned very quickly that I had some catching up to do in the ski realm, and I was encouraged to join the Mount Mansfield Ski Club where I was privately tutored at their academy, and spent most of my time training and racing.

After graduating from Stowe High School, I spent one year at Hallingdal Folkschool in Gol, Norway, where most of my time was spent with a freestyle ski and snowboard group known as “Switch”. From Norway, I moved to Breckenridge, Colorado to continue my skier lifestyle. After about four years in Breck, I spent a summer working as a Production Intern at ABC’s The View in NYC, and found a true interest in the industry. I then moved to Denver and declared my major in Broadcast Production at Metropolitan State University.  During my three years at school in Denver I worked as a reporter for Metro’s student-run newscast, “The Met Report”, and interned at 7News and FOX 31. After graduation, I knew it was time to head back to the mountains, and I was soon Keystone bound.FullSizeRender4

I am really looking forward to working as Keystone’s Snow Reporter this season. I have always loved this mountain’s terrain and its notoriously beautiful weather conditions. I love everything from early morning corduroy to soft afternoon park laps, and of course POWDER DAYS! I am so grateful to have found a job that combines my two greatest passions of skiing and media production, and I look forward to bringing you the latest of all of Keystone’s conditions and events. I’ll see you on the hill!
