There are tons of adventures to take your four legged friend on while at Keystone Resort from playing in the snow to hours on the trail.  You are sure to return to your room with one tired pup.

Hit the Trails
There are dozens of dog friendly trails in and around Keystone perfect to explore with your four legged friend.  While the Keystone Nordic Center is not dog friendly, it is the perfect place to rent snowshoes and cross country equipment for some pup & me bonding time in the gorgeous rockies.  Our knowledgeable staff will fit you for equipment and can make nearby trail recommendations based on your preferences.

Suggested Trails:

Holiday Lights & Fireside Activities
Take your pup on a tour of the holiday lights in River Run Village! Holiday music will play throughout the village as you take in a variety of lighting displays, ice sculptures and our perfectly decorated Christmas Tree!.  Take a break and warm up by one of our gas fire displays or watch the ice skaters twirl around Dercum Ice Rink.

Meet the Avy Dogs!
IMG_9221Who doesn’t wish they could put their dog to work?  Take a stroll over to Kidtopia Headquarters, located across from the Dercum Ice Rink, to meet Keystone’s most adorable employees, the Avy Dogs!  It’s a chance to learn what it takes to be an avy dog, create some adorable photo opps and for your pup to make a new friend.

Snow Play
Your dog may have played in the snow before, but they’ve never played in THIS much snow!  With an annual snowfall of 235 inches (that’s about 10 Golden Retrievers tall) we are talking serious snow play.  Serious. Snow. Play. Like endless amounts of snowballs to chase after, mounds of snow to jump through miles of trails to travel and endless amounts fun.

Lake Laps
What does our picturesque Keystone Lake turn into each winter?  The largest Zamboni maintained outdoor skating rink in North America!  While your dog can’t skate across it, the two of you can walk around the lake taking in the magnificent mountain views and magical holiday sights and sounds.

Doggy Day Care

Have a pup that gets sad and lonely when you aren’t around, or simply could use a day of fun romping around with other pups visiting the area?  Keystone and the surrounding areas have a handful of Doggy Daycare options available to tire your pup out and keep him/her entertained while you are out and about!
