Off the Beaten Path at The Keystone Nordic Center

Today is one of those beautiful blue bird days that is perfect for getting outside and being active. This morning I took advantage of the blue skies and sunshine and headed over to the Keystone Nordic Center to do some snowshoeing. The Nordic Center is a great place to get away from the crowds, get some exercise, and surround yourself with nature and great views.
The Nordic Center opened up for the 2013- 2014 season this past weekend offering up more than 9 miles of groomed trails and providing access to more than 35 miles of nearby trails through the White River National Forest. You can make a day of it with winter activities including Cross-country skiing, skate skiing, snowshoeing, tubing, lessons, rentals, and guided tours. Don’t forget to stop by the Nordic Soup Bistro and warm up with the all-you-can-eat soup buffet.
