Welcome to Keystone

New Snow for the New Year

As the holiday season begins to wind down and the year comes to an end we have a lot to celebrate. 2013 not only brought us the Harlem Shake and the Miley Cyrus transformation, but also some awesome early season conditions for the 2013/14 season. As we make our resolutions and change over our calendars we can only hope that these snowy conditions continue into the new year.

It was a wonderful holiday weekend here at Keystone with 6 fresh new inches of snow and the opening of Independence bowl bringing us up to 1968 acres of skiable terrain. As we look to the upcoming week we have our fingers crossed that the New Year will bring new snow! Beginning on Tuesday and continuing through Wednesday night there is about a 60% chance of snow with a possible accumulation of up to 5 inches. The sun will be out with highs in the 30s on Thursday and Friday, and there is a chance that the snow will return later in the weekend.

This is the week to finish off the holiday season strong and soak up the last of the festivities. If you haven’t had the chance yet, be sure to swing by the Chocolate Village in the Keystone Lodge and Spa where you can feast your eyes on the handcrafted holiday creation featuring 8,000 pounds of chocolate. You can also catch a free holiday ice skating show this Saturday January 4th over in the lakeside village.

We’ve also got some fantastic New Years Eve celebrations going on including fireworks, special NYE dinners, and plenty of live entertainment. Finish the year off strong and come and join us here at Keystone.
