Put Down The Turkey and Get On the Slopes

As your mind drifts from pumpkin lattes to turkey and mashed potatoes, don’t forget about what is going on this week here at Keystone! It was an eventful weekend for Keystone and we won’t be slowing down for the Holidays! Keystone has received 10 new inches of snow in the past 7 days. Over the weekend four new trails were added, extending Silver Spoon and giving guests top-to-bottom access via Schoolmarm. Also, skiers and snowboarders enjoyed a controlled terrain opening and were treated to a surprise powder day to help ski/ride the snow and densify the snowpack for us in the Outback. This soft opening helped to prepare for additional terrain openings so make sure to check back for more terrain announcements for the week!
On Saturday we checked out Demo Days where guests got to test out and learn about the newest gear for the season from over 20 vendors. Also this weekend was the start of the Epic Race, where contestants will be putting there lives on hold to compete to be one of the first to ski all 26 Vail affiliated resorts in all 4 countries. The Epic Race officially started on Friday November 22, and the first ten contestants that complete the challenge will receive an Epic Pass for life! Good luck to all you Epic Racers!
Although it might be tempting to stay in and sleep off that turkey hangover this week there is plenty going on at Keystone to get you off the couch. In this weeks Keystone forecast there is lots of sunshine and new terrain openings! This Wednesday November 27th night skiing and riding starts, and the A51 Terrain Park will return to its normal location with features in the Alley. So come work off that extra serving of pumping pie and stuffing and celebrate this Thanksgiving on the slopes!
